Because jack-up rigs can often require a long lead time for completion, LeTourneau Technologies™ Offshore Products offers innovative Rig Kit & License Packages. These comprehensive components and design packages offer a confirmed supply of critical structure elements that interface perfectly with the rig class. This way, the risks of supply chain failure or design/component manufacturer issues have been eliminated for both builder and owner. The components and basic class-approved rig design are provided under license to a LeTourneau approved shipyard of your choice, in almost any region of the world. And LTI Rig Kit Packages accommodate your choice of our five most popular jack-up rig designs.

LTI knows there’s a great deal more to a jack-up rig than superior design. The longevity and productivity of a rig is dependent upon critical components and assemblies as well as proven designs. That’s why LTI Rig Kit & License Packages include both key equipment and systems in addition to design drawings. Each package includes components manufactured by LeTourneau with the highest quality design and fabrication possible.
RIG KIT COMPONENTS
Leg Structures
To meet high demands for gear rack & chord and bracing, LeTourneau manufactures each from ABS/DNV approved special alloy produced by our own steel mill. Guide structure components are also included, designed to reduce movement of the legs during jacking and elevation.
Elevating Systems and Controls
LeTourneau elevating units are designed to meet a wide range of offshore requirements, including the harshest environments. They offer a range of normal elevating ratings and pre-load jacking ratings, and storm holding capabilities as great as 1,800 kips per pinion. Controls and monitoring are provided by clear redundant touch screen display panels.
Anchor Winches
Available in two sizes, our winches can pull 50,000 pounds and 100,000 pounds, respectively. Both are well-proven in demanding offshore applications.
Pedestal Deck Cranes
Combining proven LeTourneau performance with solid-state electronic efficiency, our PCM-Series Pedestal King Post Cranes respond faster, reduce downtime and maintenance, and lower operating costs.
Spud Can Point Structure
The heart of the spud can is the LeTourneau forged bottom point structure and center tube load path. The LeTourneau point aids in the positioning of the jack-up as well as supporting the full weight of the jack-up on rock bottom; for instance, the Super Gorilla imposes as much as 36 million pounds.
Cantilever Skidder Systems with Hold-Down Clamps
LeTourneau electro-mechanical skidders deliver 263,000 pounds of thrust at 6 feet per minute. Featuring LeTourneau gearbox, motor, and brake assembly, they have proven their ability to move very large substructures in more than 200
jack-up installations.
Worldwide Fabrication License
