LETOURNEAU'S UNIQUE LEG DESIGN

More Steel. More Strength. More Peace-of-Mind.

With over one-million pounds more steel in our legs than the competition, LeTourneau Technologies™ Offshore Products designs and manufactures the sturdiest, most robust and reliable jack-up rigs in the industry. And here’s proof: our rigs have over 20 million hours of trouble-free performance behind them.  More steel, better leg design, more peace-of-mind.

Predictable. Even When the Environment Isn’t.

Irregular surfaces.  Hard lens surfaces in soft soil.  Pot holes.
All specific conditions on the ocean floor that can equate to challenges for many rigs during jack-up.

These challenges can result in buckling or fracturing of leg bracing, and chord rack teeth sliding out of engagement with the elevating unit pinion gear teeth.  LeTourneau meets, and beats these challenges by guiding each chord individually, so that lateral movement is limited, and sliding is resisted.

No other rig manufacturer can match LeTourneau's sound construction or record of long-term integrity. Our unique triangular open-truss design and heavier leg construction means supreme confidence in even the harshest ocean environments.

In fact, our patented jack-and-drill system allows you to level a rig in as little as 15 minutes.  We offer four choices of elevating capacity ratings, including 150, 375, 440, and 1000 kips with storm holding capabilities as great as 1800 kips per pinion.

And, our proprietary STORM LOK® system enhances platform stability and load distribution under extreme conditions. Easy to engage and disengage as required, STORM LOK utilizes jam-proof wedges and independent, self-aligning chocks to provide an extra measure of stability and security.
