LeTourneau TARZAN CLASS Jack-Up Rigs Designed to Meet Growing
Need for Deep Gas Drilling

Longview, TX – Like all jack-up rig designs from LeTourneau Technologies™ Offshore Products, the TARZAN CLASS rig is built specifically to meet the growing demand for deeper drilling in a variety of water depths.

Engineered to withstand even the most severe conditions and deep-drilling applications, TARZAN CLASS rigs enable more efficient deep-shelf drilling even in the most challenging, unpredictable environmental and operational conditions as well as on irregular sea beds.

Additionally, LeTourneau’s range of rigs include the Super 116E for moderate environment regions with water depths up to 350 feet; the WORKHORSE® for tropical revolving storm regions in water depths up to 375 feet; the Super Gorilla for ultra-harsh locations in water depths up to 400 feet; and the Super Gorilla XL for tropical revolving storm regions in water depths up to 550 feet. Each of LeTourneau’s self-elevating drilling rigs is designed to meet specific conditions and requirements from shallow draft to extreme environment. The rigs can drill beyond 35,000 feet in water depths up to 550 feet.

LeTourneau Technologies™ Offshore Products designed and built the world’s first jack-up drilling rig in 1955, and has built close to 200 jack-ups since then. Today, the company is a leader in offshore jack-up drilling rigs, offering more standard designs and deeper experience than any other supplier.
