Giant Loaders Surpass SAE/ISO Standards for Safety

Longview, TX – The four giant loaders manufactured by LeTourneau Technologies™ Mining Products have surpassed SAE/ISO requirements, providing an additional measure of safety and security.

All loaders — the L-950, the L-1350, the L-1850 and the L-2350, the largest front end rubber-tired loader in the world — offer a number of key safety elements.  These include an access stair case and boarding ladder, as well as a convenient catwalk in front of the windscreen.  LeTourneau loaders also have handholds strategically located to prevent falls, extended ladders which eliminate the need for a high step-up, and non-slip surfaces on all walk areas.

In addition, LeTourneau loaders are easy to maintain safely.  Each features readily accessible modular components such as ground level access, gates to front frames access and a 24-volt system housed in a separate cabinet from the high voltage system. As an extra measure of operator safety, the fully insulated cab is designed for maximum visibility in all directions for operators.
